SWOT Analysis

The Creative Women’s League places a strong emphasis on its community. With daily content that engages with its followers, the CWL will in turn showcase how they create. Much of the content is also personality driven. Toney does her best to be an energetic host who exudes positivity and uplifting energy for her listeners. Additionally, because Toney is ultimately the one in charge of the brand, she has complete creative control over it and decides what content is posted. She has no one to step in and say she can’t execute a new campaign or make changes to how she sees fit.

On that same token however, Toney is the only CWL employee. There is no one else to delegate work to, nor is there anyone to make corrections to it. If something goes wrong on her end, there is no one that can step in to assist. Additionally, The CWL does not generate revenue for Toney. Everything is currently done in-kind with her interview subjects for cross-promotion. The CWL is also not Toney’s only job as she is a sewing instructor for Bernina. This job has her travel around the United States teaching sewing classes and frequently forces her to create content around her already busy schedule.

With the new content being made to promote on platforms that were being under-utilized, the CWL has an opportunity to showcase itself to entirely new audiences. As more and more people learn about the offerings from the Creative Women’s League, more people will be signing up for the classes offered by Toney. #HowDoYouCreate will be pulling in new followers and engaging with current ones by helping foster the community feeling that surrounds the Creative Women’s League.

There are already a lot of business coaches and professionals that focus on social media. Finding what separates the CWL from them is what will make all the difference. Additionally, social networks can change in popularity and having a business dedicated to a platform that is outside of your control opens yourself up to the risk of it suddenly not being operating or viable.
