It all started when…

I was born in 1988.

Shortly thereafter I grew up in South Florida to Christopher and Kim Newton, a tech support supervisor from Philadelphia, PA and an OBGYN Nurse from Walton, NY. My sports idols growing up were Charles Barkley, Ron Hextall, and Randall Cunningham. Like many kids of the 90’s, I got my sense of humor from the Simpsons and Robin Williams in Aladdin, Jumanji, Flubber, Hook, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Ferngully. My music taste is pretty diverse and runs the gamut, From Stevie Wonder and Fleetwood Mac to Childish Gambino and Kendrick Lamar to Taking Back Sunday and Say Anything.

Fun fact: My first concert was “Weird Al” Yankovic and I was part of the on field crowd for Prince’s Super Bowl performance in 2007

In my free time, I enjoy working out, reading, and playing video games. In 2019 I joined the 1000lb club with a combined Squat (375), Bench (255) and Deadlift (380). I’m currently reading “But What If We’re Wrong?” a book by Chuck Klosterman that revolves around thinking about the present as though it were the distant past. As for games, I’m perpetually checking in and out of my Animal Crossing island, helping defend the last city on earth in Destiny 2, and setting the court ON FIRE in NBA Jam.
