Who is the Creative Women’s League for?

The CWL is for everyone! Although our content is specifically catered to female entrepreneurs who have businesses in creative fields.

Where can I find the Creative Women’s League Online?

What is the purpose behind How Do You Create?

The Creative Women’s League wants to celebrate YOU. We wanted to show off all the different ways of how members of our community go through their creative process and share their success stories to help uplift women everywhere.

Why only focus on creative businesses?

Kate Toney is a Bernina educator and has had a lifelong passions for quilting. Teaching technique classes has led her to appreciate all the creative women who’ve made their mark and find a way to let their passions support them.

How can I be interviewed on the CWL podcast?

Submit a quick 1 minute video over to the.cwl.info@gmail.com along with links to your business so we can review it so we can determine how we can get the ball rolling.

If I’ve been interviewed for the podcast, when can I expect to hear the episode I’m on?

The CWL podcast has two shows, Mindful Mondays released every Monday with a 10-15 min chat with just Kate as she goes over topics important to her. Wednesdays the CWL podcast features an interview with a creative entrepreneur. We currently have a backlog of episodes dating back a month. Between editing the episodes and our current lineup, expect to hear your episode 3-4 weeks after we record it.

Who makes the decisions on who gets featured where? Can I request to be in the same How Do You Create episode as someone?

All the content is created and edited by Kate Toney. She takes all submissions as they come in. If you and the other person can submit an email to the.cwl.info@gmail.com requesting to be featured together, we will be more than happy to accommodate you.

What should I include in my submission?

Send us a 1 minute video that shows off your creative set up along with who you are, your business, and tell us what the CWL means to you.

When will How Do You Create Episodes go up?

Episodes will go up beginning February 28th, 2019

Where can I find episodes of How Do You Create?

Episodes will be posted to our website (thecwl.com). They will also be promoted on our Facebook and Instagram

Why should I volunteer to be a part of How Do You Create?

How Do You Create is an opportunity for you to promote your business on The CWL and share your passion with our audience. All it takes is a quick 1 minute video and we will be happy to include you in our series.

There are bigger entrepreneur communities and business coaches with a more proven track record, why should I help out Kate Toney and the Creative Women’s league?

Kate has keen insights on how to create a curated look on social media. She has successfully taught classes for Bernina all along the east coast and is one of their top educators. She has built a successful personal brand that has made her one of Bernina’s most requested educators.

I submitted a video but I wasn’t included in the series, why not?

Don’t fear! We will be happy to include you in future seasons, with the volume of submissions we receive we may have to include you in the second seasons of How Do You Create.

What if I don’t have a business, how can I be on the podcast or How Do You Create?

Unfortunately, we only have people on the podcast and How Do You Create that have a brand or storefront they can promote.

Where can I donate if I want to support the Creative Women’s League?

We don’t take direct donations. However, if you’d like to financially support the CWL, we do have merch for sale on our site (https://www.thecwl.com/shop)

Is there any compensation from the Creative Women’s League for being involved with How Do You Create?

We will not be offering payment for submissions to the CWL. However, with the free promotion and the exposure to our audience, your business will see the benefits of partnering with the Creative Women’s League in no time.

Will my likeness or my brand be used to promote anything for the Creative Women’s League?

Outside of promoting the episode of How Do You Create on our social media, we will not be using your likeness for any other promotional materials for the Creative Women’s League.

Do I have any commitment to the CWL after I make my submission for How Do You Create?

No, we do plan on having follow ups and continuing success stories planned in the future, but you do not have to contribute if you do not want to.

Is it sexist of you to have a brand that will only assist women entrepreneurs?

The Creative Women’s League wants to promote an inclusive and intersectional community that elevates women-led businesses to the same level as ones men operate. We will assist anyone and promote their business, but our main goals are to elevate women to be on equal footing as men.

I paid for your class, but I do not feel as though I am getting my money’s worth. how do I get a full refund?

If you cancel your class after the first week we will refund 80% of the class. After the second week, 50%. After the third week we will not be offering any refunds.
